Justine is training hard for the London Marathon

We catch up with Justine Forrest who is training hard for the London Marathon - despite injury!

NellWell my training for the London Marathon is going well.  I’ve done a couple of half marathons on the treadmill at my gym in the last couple of weeks but then got a sports injury.  Bummer!  It’s a torn tendon/shin splint. I went to my osteopath this week for treatment and am now resting, so no running this week because my legs pretty sore and swollen.  I upped my cardio training instead to build on my stamina.  I’m going to need it for those 26 miles!

 

 

Really very excited about running the London Marathon on behalf of the charity that I work with-  RMHC and it’s given mJustine on treadmille something to aim and push for.

It’s an awesome feeling after losing all my weight (14 stone!).  Who would believe that just 3 years ago I struggled to walk any distance and it all began with a gentle plod with my dog Nell.  Now I’m healthy and as fit as a fiddle and loving my life.

I truly believe that in life anything is possible - it’s all about how much you want it!!
