Swinton Park Cookery School is housed in the ground floor of the converted Georgian stables of the magnificent luxury castle Swinton Park Hotel in North Yorkshire.

The popular cookery school overlooks the castle turret and parkland and there is a demonstration kitchen and dining room,  a retail shop and preparation kitchen to the rear.

The cookery school has its own entrance and is a very short walk across the drive from the hotel. The south facing lawn has outdoor seating, and there is adjacent car parking.  The programme for day courses at Swinton Park covers techniques and styles of cooking. The recipes for each day have a theme, and a range of complementary dishes are prepared.

There are a wide variety of courses on offer running throughout the year, including two-day courses, run by guest celebrity chef, Rosemary Shrager.

John Rogers, Cookery School Head Chef hosts the day and weekend courses including the Chef’s Table demonstration dinners, Sunday Masterclass Lunches and the Pre-Dinner Bite Sized demonstrations.

Day courses also included at Swinton Park Cookery School are Sushi for Beginners, Friday evening Curry Club, Preserving, Foraging, Children’s and Christmas courses.
