Alex and Lily met whilst working at the same restaurant in Oxford. Their mutual love for all thing food and drink has grown into them launching three food companies together.
The Detox Kitchen, a company which delivers a detox diet direct to their customer’s doors, is the newest addition to their foodie empire. For them, it is a perfect balance of creating tasty dishes using healthy, nutritious, great British produce.
With celebrity clients including Henry Holland, Jasmine Guiness, Lilttle boots and Tara Palmer Tomkinson, Alex and Lily are fast establishing themselves as the go-to girls for deliciously interesting nutritious food.
Lily
After working in the property industry for 4 years whilst running her catering company Lily’s Lovely Bites on the side, Lily Simpson finally realised her true passion for food and pursued it as her full time career in 2009.
Since then she has established an impressive client base, including Red Bull, Jo Malone, Coutts, Ten UK and Cos. Lily takes food inspiration from all over the world and has developed her own recipes that are exciting and modern with fresh British produce at their core.
Alex
Since the age of 16 Alex has worked in the restaurant and catering industry. From running restaurants to setting up a central London deli, Alex has developed invaluable skills within the food sector. Her catering company took on a new dimension when she began catering for a high profile football team, where she developed recipes that were healthy and delicious but also filling enough for hungry footballers.
Alex and Lily met at university whilst studying together and in 2010, after both establishing their own catering companies they joined forces to launch The Social Pantry.
Alex and Lily now run three successful food companies including their private catering service The Social Pantry, a lunch delivery service called The Midday Pantry and a diet delivery service called The Detox Kitchen. It is their combined skills, expertise and sheer determination to share their love for food with everyone else, which has kept their clients coming back time and time again.
